10) Name – Sanjay Dutt

He started this year with a bang in true sense reprising role of yesteryear villain Kancha Cheena in ‘Agneepath’. His other release like ‘Department’ was a no stunner but ‘Son Of Sardaar’ ensured that he can tickle our funny bones.

He solidified his foot at box-office with his next two releases ‘Bol Bachchan’ and controversial Diwali release ‘Son Of Sardaar’ where his buffoonery was adored.

Yash Chopra’s swan song had all the elements of so-called typical-bollywood-romance but had to face stiff competition from Ajay Devgn offscreen as the screen allocation row between Jab Tak Hai Jaan –Son Of Sardaar heated during its Diwali release time.

He continued his winning streak at Box-Office with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Dabangg 2’ both making his fans whistle and spending money to watch him in 70mm screen making these money-spinners for distributers. ‘Ek tha Tiger’ had him in role of a spy not only breaking bones of hooligans but also romancing and ‘Dabanng 2’ was the continuation of Chulbul Pandey’s wiping-criminal-off-street-mission.

He had many releases this year maybe most for an A-list actor and he did rule the roost by coming back to action genre. ‘Joker’ was a dismal show that the actor would love to forget but his other releases surely helped him gain the much needed adulation. ‘Oh My God!’  was criticized by many as being a Paresh Rawal movie and not his though he was the producer and played an extended cameo as of Lord Krishna.

Though it was ousted from the Oscar race moviegoers are sure about him winning awards at home for the innocence-laden flick ‘Barfi!’
