Remakes and
inspiration is not new to Hollywood .Most of Bollywood movies are inspired from
Hollywood or other regional movies. The celebrities are not new to this adaption
as they themselves have served as a part of this ventures.
But yesterday I saw ‘Ek Dewaana Tha’
a Gautam Vasudev Menon film. He had made that movie in Tamil and Telugu. I had
seen the Tamil ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’.

which was truly a maverick creation but not the
Telugu one ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’.

He fails this time in a big way where the
characters seems like puppets .The only consoling part is the beauty of Kerala
that is shown in the visuals. The whole
movie seemed like a juvenile affair.
Considering the directors last movie in Hindi ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’starting Madhavan, Diya Mirza and Saif Ali Khan was a musical feel- good- cinema in true colors. Thou A.R.Rahman ‘s music had a soothing effect on my ears still it could not save the sinking ship. Overall it’s a failed attempt by some of the best cinema wizards that Indian cinema has seen.
